The Suzuki Carry of the DA63T generation made its debut in 2002, bringing several improvements to the truck. The interior became more comfortable and better organized, featuring interior door panels with enhanced finishing. The engine transitioned to the K6A, still a 600cc 3-cylinder with fuel injection, but now with a timing chain instead of a belt, eliminating the need for maintenance in that regard. Power steering became almost standard, often paired with air conditioning.
Despite the engine's placement under the seats, the DA63T Carry comes with a hood housing the brake fluid reservoir, windshield washer fluid tank, and the coolant expansion tank. All manual transmissions come with 5 speeds, and the transfer case includes a 'LOW' setting. This particular truck boasts the rare and sought-after option of rear differential lock, along with power steering and air conditioning.
The engine operates remarkably quietly and smoothly for a 3-cylinder. Shifting gears is easy, quickly reaching the 5th gear on the road. The Suzuki Carry's maneuverability is fantastic, excelling in reverse and effortlessly navigating tight spaces. Notably, its turning radius is impressively tight, even with a 2-foot longer wheelbase than the DD51T generation.
The chassis of this truck is in phenomenal condition, completely free of rust. The vehicle is sold for off-road use in Quebec, akin to an ATV. On-road registration in Quebec will be possible in 2028. For Ontario and the maritime provinces, on-road registration is immediate.
