The DA63T generation began in 2002. Several improvements were made to the truck: a more comfortable and better-designed interior, higher-quality inner door panels, and more tear-resistant seats. The engine was upgraded to the K6A, still a 600cc 3-cylinder with fuel injection, but now with a timing chain instead of a belt—meaning no maintenance is required in that area.

Despite the engine being located under the seats, the Carry DA63T has a hood. Under it, you’ll find the brake fluid reservoir, windshield washer fluid tank, and the coolant expansion tank.

The 5-speed manual transmission is paired with a 4x4 4WD system with a transfer case that includes both high and low gear ranges. This truck comes equipped with power steering and air conditioning. The engine is very quiet and surprisingly smooth for a 3-cylinder engine. The Suzuki Carry’s handling is fantastic—it's easy to reverse, and the truck fits just about anywhere. Special mention goes to the turning radius, which is incredibly tight, even though this generation has a 2-foot longer wheelbase than the DD51T.
