Starting in 1999, there's no longer a need to choose between having a 5-speed transmission or a LOW gear. This one has both, unlike the generation it replaces. The engines also feature injection instead of carburetors, unlike the previous generation. Maintenance and upkeep are simplified, with easier starts at any temperature. They also deliver better performance.

The cabin is more spacious, perfect for those who are a bit taller. Additionally, the wheels have been moved forward, increasing the wheelbase and stability. The elongated front end, as opposed to the flat nose, enhances occupant safety in case of impact.
