The DA62T generation began in 2001, bringing several upgrades to the truck. The interior is more comfortable and better laid out, with improved door panel materials and more tear-resistant seats.

The engine was upgraded to the K6A, still a 660cc 3-cylinder fuel-injected engine, but now equipped with a timing chain instead of a belt—meaning no maintenance is required in that area. Although the engine is located under the seats, the DA62T Carry has a front hood. Under it, you'll find the brake fluid reservoir, windshield washer fluid tank, and coolant overflow tank.

The manual transmission is paired with a 4x4 system. This truck is equipped with power steering, air conditioning, and a differential lock. The engine is very quiet and impressively smooth for a 3-cylinder. The Suzuki Carry handles exceptionally well—it's easy to reverse and can fit just about anywhere! Special mention goes to the turning radius, which is incredibly tight, even though this generation has a 2-foot longer wheelbase than the DD51T.

The condition of the chassis is absolutely phenomenal, with no rust whatsoever.

The truck can currently be registered for off-road use.
As of January 2026, it will be eligible for on-road registration following a SAAQ inspection.
