Starting from 1999 and the DB52T generation (DH52T in the case of Mazda, same vehicle), there's no longer a need to choose between having a 5-speed transmission or a LOW. This one has both, unlike the previous generation it replaces. The cabin is also more spacious, perfect for those who are a bit taller. Additionally, the wheels have been moved forward, which increases the wheelbase and stability. The elongated front nose, instead of a flat nose, increases occupant safety in case of impact.
The engine is now fuel-injected, offering all the associated benefits: better performance, easier maintenance, and better cold-weather starting. This truck with a hydraulic dump is equipped with power steering and air conditioning. It also features the sought-after rear diff lock option.
It can be registered for road use starting in January 2025.
